Emraan Hashmi stepped away from the Bhatts consciously

Emraan Hashmi may not be an audacious talker but he knows how to speak his mind in a more complacent way. A proof of it was his admission that his move to venture out of Vishesh Films (Mukesh Bhatt’s production house) was to let the actor in him grow and develop.

Emraan explained that he consciously took the decision of working for other banners apart from Vishesh Films. This move isn’t triggered by people’s banter about him being a Bhatt regular. He wanted to explore
as an actor and hence, took up films like Shanghai, The Dirty Picture and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. He wanted to try out different roles and be part of different movies. He wanted to explore every genre of filmmaking.
Fortunately for him, his movies’ good run ensured that he gets offer from prestigious banners. Talking about his Box Office reputation, Emraan Hashmi said that nobody can predict box-office results. The moment one proves one’s worth, they get noticed and people start seeing them in different light. They start believing in the actor and on the fact that audience will watch his movies. So does it mean he puts more credence on commercial success than critical acclaim? Emraan replies that all he wants is to entertain his audience. He wants his fans to be happy with his work. He wants them to believe that this actor can not only do commercial stuff but meaningful cinema as well.
